Nikolas Andreou

Occupational Therapist

Nikolas Andreou is an Occupational Therapist registered with the Cyprus Occupational Therapists Registration Council, with clinical experience across community, psychosocial and mental health settings. He studied Occupational Therapy at European University Cyprus.

He specialises in occupational performance assessment, activity analysis and the design of client-centred intervention programmes that promote independence, daily living skills, social inclusion and quality of life, including for individuals with intellectual disabilities. He works with adolescents, young adults and adults, and provides family-based intervention and parenting skills training.

Since June 2025, he has worked as an Occupational Therapist and External Associate at Mind and Health, collaborating closely with the centre’s psychiatrist. His work includes occupational performance assessments, personalised intervention plans addressing psychosocial needs and functional independence, and support for recovery, community reintegration and engagement in meaningful daily activities. He also contributes to interdisciplinary case discussions and holistic treatment planning.

From April 2025 to September 2026, he worked at Panton Hara Organization with adolescents and young adults under state protection. His interventions addressed self-care, social participation, emotional regulation, autonomy and readiness for school or work. He also supported parents and caregivers through family sessions and parenting skills training, and helped young people prepare for independent living.

Previously, he worked as a Support Officer at Hope for Children from July 2022 to June 2024, supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Larnaca through daily living activities, structured occupations, social integration and leisure participation.

His additional training includes a Bobath Basic NDT seminar and the CIRCUS Erasmus+ training programme in Slovenia. His approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration and empowering individuals through meaningful daily occupations.
